A Little Bit About Whiskey Jack
Howdy Folks, and thanks for taking a moment to take a look at my "About Me" page. I've been a member here on eBay since October 2006, selling mostly vintage and collectible glass and pottery, but also other antique, vintage and collectible items (and other treasures) that I come across that my customers might be interested in.
Since vintage and collectible glass and pottery are my favorite subject (next to collecting John Wayne memorabilia), I became a member of the Glass and Pottery Sellers Association. As a member of the GPSA, I make it a point to adhere to GPSA guidelines for sellers which require accurate item descriptions and photography, as well as fair and honest shipping practices. A more in depth description of GPSA guidelines for sellers can be found on the GPSA web site.
I would also like to point out that my number one priority is customer satisfaction. My customers are my bread and butter, so to speak, so I always make it a priority to keep my customers happy and satisfied.
I also maintain a separate website where you can click on links to see my other online auctions, read my blog, see some of my favorite links, and find a whole passel of other interesting things! (currently my website is still under construction, so the link below is temporarily deactivated). The links below will help you to see my eBay acutions, or contact me via eBay messaging (you must be signed into eBay to use this link), or to visit my website.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do you calculate your shipping charges?
No one likes to pay extra for shipping, so I never "pad" my shipping costs. I will only charge what the post office charges. Never extra. Shipping charges are based only on the weight of the package and the buyers zip code. Sometimes I offer a flat rate shipping if I find it to be less expensive for the buyer. I always try to find the least expensive method of shipping in order to save my customers as much money as I can.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, please see my return policy below.
Why do you only accept PayPal as a payment option?
eBay has recently revised its rules concerning payments options, and no longer allows any payments methods other than PayPal. Paying with Paypal is now an eBay requirement when purchasing items on eBay. Please also note my payment policies below.
Is shipping included in the item price?
Not necessarily. Usually shipping is extra, but is never "padded." All shipping charged is "actual shipping." Occasionally I am able to find items that are such a good deal, that I can offer free shipping. When I do, rest assured that I never "bump up" the items cost to "recover" shipping charges.
Is insurance included in the item price?
Insurance is always optional, and at the buyers request (and usually expense). Sometimes, however, if an item is exceptionally fragile or rare, I will pay for the insurance in order to ensure that the buyer is not left out in the cold if an item breaks during shipping.
Do you offer combined shipping or discounts on shipping?
On occasion.
What do the terms "Vintage," "Antique," and "Collectible" mean?
Everyone usually has their own ideas as to what is an antique or a collectible. Generally speaking, the accepted definitions are: An antique is an item at least 100 years old; Vintage indicates that an item is at least 30 - 99 years old; and a Collectible is an item that people collect or have collections of.
How do you grade the books and comic books you sell?
For comic books I use the grading system found at the teako 170 web site. Click here to visit that site.
For books I use the Auction Wally Collectible Book Grading Guide. Click here to visit that site.

Whiskey Jack's Payment Policies
Please note that per eBay's new rules, I can only accept payments through PayPal. However, this only applies to my eBay sales. My other online, non-eBay sales are not affected by this rule, and I can accept Paypal, USPS money orders and occasionally personal checks for those sales. Please note that the buyer is responsible for shipping via USPS and optional insurance. I will send the winning bidder an email invoice within 24 hours of auctions close.
Please note that items shipped to Colorado are required by law to add 3.25% sales tax. This is automatically added to the items final sale price. |

Whiskey Jack's Returns and Refunds Policy
Your complete satisfaction is my number one priority, and I am confident that you will be happy with your item. Therefore, I guarantee that if you are not completely satisfied, simply return the item, and I will cheerfully refund your entire purchase price. Simply contact me via ebay to make arrangements. Please note that returns or refunds must be requested within 7 days of receiving your purchased item (as notated by the USPS Package Tracking System). Additionally, please note that due to the ease in which audio and video items may be copied, I do not offer returns on these items, unless they are grossly misrepresented in the title or item description. | |
