Hi, welcome to my About Me page! I have been dealing/collecting antiques and collectibles for over 20 years, mainly focused on toys and advertising items. I am always buying tin and cast iron toys from the 1800's to 1960's in excellent to MIB condition, one piece or a collection. (Specifically early cast iron, tin windups, tin friction and battery operated toys by makers such as Arcade, Hubley, Kenton, Buddy L, Lehmann, Marx, Chein, Linemar and many Japanese makers) I also search out old store stock and warehouse finds, please contact me at treasuresof-yesterday

A little history:

As a little history, I have been collecting and dealing in toys and other antiques since before I can remember. I grew up in a family where my parents, grandparents and aunt & uncle are active antique dealers and collectors. I guess being a young boy in this environment, my natural tendancy was to focus on toys. My collections range from early cast iron cap guns and cap bombs, to early German tin toys, to 1960's Batman toys. I have always been engaged by the 'thrill of the hunt', never knowing what might turn up around the next corner! This is what got me interested in old stock and warehouse finds - to think that some items have been sitting untouched for years just waiting to be discovered. My most treasured find (also my first find) was a collection of over 50,000! 1960's political buttons I purchased when I was just 12 years old; they were salvaged by an employee of the old Bastian Brothers plant before they were scheduled to go under demolition! (That was 13 garbage bags full!) I am always on the lookout for old stock and unused toys and advertising items up through the 1960's.
