Sterling Hill Mining Museum

When my oldest son was about 8 years old we went on a trip to the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, N.J. At the end of the underground mine tour we ended up in this one room where they shut off the regular lights and turned on the ultraviolet lights. WOW everything lit up. That was it I was hooked. So that same day we went over to the Franklin Mineral museum and collected at the Buckwheat Dump. Not really sure what to collect at the time but we did get some nice specimens.

Since then collecting has been not only a great hobbie but an obsession. Not a day goes by that I dont light up one of my many specimens. But I collected and bought way too much material so ebay was a way to get rid of some nice specimens to make room for some new ones and keep my wife happy by getting some out of the house. Selling minerals is not my day job and I am not trying to get rich by listing at prices that are way too high.  I start all my listing at very fare prices even some of the rarer material that has bigger price tags because you just cant find the material anymore.

The bottom line is I want anyone who buys any specimens off me to be happy with there purchase. I have never not offered a refund if even just a partial one to any buyers that were unhappy. In this field I have found out I am learning new and interesting facts all the time.  For anyone to act or think like they know all there is to know about fluorescent minerals from any locality (well there are only a few out there like that). So enjoy the prices while I clean out some specimens and happy bidding. Bid with no worries here!!!
