Carolyn and Barbara have been sewing together in the Motion Picture Industry for 12 years and together they have over 40 years of sewing experience. Carolyn began her career with Gingerich Draperies, a custom drapery shop, making stunning draperies and bedding for many prestigious clients in the Los Angeles and Hollywood area. After honing her skills, she quickly advanced to head-seamstress in charge of manufacturing the designs of Ted Graber, Interior Designer for the Reagan White House private rooms. Her work is proudly depicted in Architectural Digest, December 1981 and December 2004. Carolyn’s dedication and attention to detail afford her a position in the Motion Picture Industry where she is noted as one of the top seamstresses in her field.
Barbara has been sewing since she was twelve years old, making all of her wardrobe through high-school. She did not sew professionally until she started working at Disney Studios where she first met Carolyn. Carolyn recognized Barbara’s eye for detail and together they have created beautiful custom draperies, bedding, pillows, and so much more.
The pair have worked with some of Hollywood’s most accomplished decorators on blockbuster productions such as, "Dreamgirls", "Memoirs of A Geisha", "Last Samarai", "Charlie's Angels", "License to Wed", and "Father of the Bride 2", just to name a few.
You can also see their work on the following television shows including, "Desperate Housewives", "Brothers and Sisters", "Mad Men", "Greek", "Scrubs", "Entourage", “Heroes”, "The Unit", “Dirty Sexy Money” and "'Til Death".
Carolyn and Barbara currently own their own business and continue to work with Set Decorators and Designers in the Motion Picture Industry; however, they are driven to bring their many years of experience to those wishing to adorn their homes with exquisite custom home accents. When you purchase an expertly sewn custom designed pillow, you can expect the finest of craftsmanship and you never know…you might actually see your design on the silver screen.
