About Mary Jo...



Painting has been my passion for over 30 years, using primarily oils, but also graphite, watercolor, and various other media.  I have conducted drawing classes for the local community education program and have taught oil painting at various times over the years.  Painting "en plein aire" is a favorite activity, although most of my artwork is finished in the studio.  Being a lifelong Texan, Texas and Southwest landscapes are my most frequent subjects!

Although retired from a long career with the federal government, I have always painted.  I'm an officer in the local garden club and enjoy gardening and creating mosaics.
