Unveiling of portrait of President Vicente Fox
|
I was born in 1970 in San Luis R.C., Mexico and I have been involved in many forms of art during my life.
I showed interest for the graphic arts at an early age, and experienced ever since an abiding drive to paint and draw, becoming clear that my mission in life was to never stop creating art.
Being a self thaught artist, I have experimented for decades with all painting media and have made additions from old masters' thechnics, and merged them into my own style.
In 2002, I oppened a painting studio next to the graphic design business that I owned and runned, and soon had not enough time for both activities, and decided to pursue the dream that I embraced since my childhood and became a full time artist.
I have enjoyed meeting many distinguished people throughout my career. Mexican President Felipe Calderon was especially complimentary when I unveiled his portrait in 2006. I also was commissioned to paint a portrait for former President Vicente Fox and Mexican etrepreneur Calros Slim, among other lead personalities in Mexico.
Now a US citizen, I sell my paintings from my studio in San Diego and the galleries that represent me. I am a member of Oil Painters of America, Coronado Arts Association and Shelter Island Arts Assoc.
Enjoy!
