Hello, it's so nice to meet you!

My name is Katrina Klokkevold Baker and I love vintage toys, puppets and dolls! I love old things-they remind of my childhood, of my parents when they were young, and of the days when my grandparents from Norway were still alive and well.

I have a particular soft spot for hand puppets. When I was little we didn't have cable TV, or VHS players. On many rainy days, I remember going to my mothers fancy antique desk and opening the bottom drawer. That drawer was full to the top with puppets. I played with them for hours at a time. Many of those puppets are for sale in my shop! My favorite puppet was a green dragon, (entitled in his ad, puff the magic dragon). When I played with him he was missing his cloth body. Recently I remedied this and created a new cloth body for him after all of these years! I'm sure that little green dragon is one happy little camper now!

Another area that I specialize in is Playskool Definately Dinosaur. I was a teenager when these came out-so I never owned any or played with any. I'm not really sure why I've taken such a liking to them as they hold no nostalgia for me-but love them-yes. I do. I have one of the finest and most complete inventories of these great dinosaur and caveman toys available anywhere.

I have an extensive inventory of Legos and bionicles. These are classic, timeless toys. I really like offering up toys that I believe foster imaginative play! In our fast paced world of video games, TV and DVD's I think that anything we can do to encourage imagination and creativity is very, very important!

Beyond puppets, Playskool Definately Dinosaurs, and Legos, you will find a vast array of toys, dolls, stuffed animals, Polly Pockets, action figures, glassware, kitchen items-you name it and you just may find it. Hence the 'household variety' in my shop's name katrina9799's household variety shop.

I love owning my own puppet and collectibles shop! Back in the old days, (1970's), before cable TV, VHS, and DVD, whatever did kids do to pass the time? Well, we read books, listened to records, played alot of 'pretend' play with dolls and PUPPETS on rainy days. On sunny days, well we were outside riding our bikes and running around. Yes, it was a different world back then. Life has changed alot and not all for the better.....If you long to be taken back, (at least in your mind), to the days of our youth, you might consider starting a collection of your most favorite items from your childhood! The search or 'hunt' for the specific items can be a very pleasant past time or even a RUSH-and the feeling of being a kid again when you see your special collection is priceless!
