Hi, how is your day going today? Mine is Fantastic! I get to live my dream come true every day.
Okay, let me back up; my husband and I live in Northwest Kansas on our ranch. We raise top quality Black Angus beef and American Quarter Horses, along with a few dogs, cats, and chickens.
When I was growing up, I never thought I would be living in Kansas, it's too flat! Well, low and behold, I found out I was wrong! I love the wide open spaces and being able to watch a thunderstorm build miles away, to watch the clouds build up so huge around you, it feels as though you can touch them; and no, it's not flat.
When I was growing up, I always dreamed of being a "cowgirl" and training and riding horses. Now that I'm older, I do some ground training, but love raising the best babies in the world! (I get to play with them every day!) One of the reason's that feeling and desire is so very strong is due, in part, to my Mother. We had horses when I was growing up, but also, she would buy a Breyer Model for me every year, one for Christmas and one for my birthday. Oh how can those model horses light the imagination! If I had a penny for every hour I spent playing with my Breyer horses, I am quite sure I would be a Millionaire!
As life goes on, we all get older and things of our childhood start to fade, the dreams become a thing of the past. But should they? I mean really. Each one of us is unique, with our own dreams, our own passions for what we want to do "when we grow up". What if we were all able to do that? Wouldn't we be happier? Would everything "click together" easier? I believe it would. I believe everyone should remember their dreams and strive to reach them.
It is therefore my goal and desire for our store, More Than Equine, to help create dreams, to help you remember your dreams, to ignite the imagination with Breyer Horses and the stories that come with them. Come along for the ride, if you dare. It might just be fun. And who knows, you might just remember what your dreams are....
