Dreaming of Everest


Hi from Everest Dreamer! As you can probably tell, I have a bit of an obsession with a certain mountain. This is true. I fell in love when I first read about her when I was 16. At that time, the only mountains that held sway in my heart were the Sierra's. I still have a love affair going with the Sierra's but now that I live in them and they are a part of my family, they have become the rock in my life. I am much older now and health issues would prevent me from ever climbing the mountain of my dreams so my dream has had to change. Now, my only wish is to gaze upon her...and then maybe climb Island Peak!!

If you are familiar with the movie "Up", I am Ellie, especially as a child. Everest is my Paradise Falls. On a side note, my husband Carl is just like the character Carl as well. It was kinda creepy seeing ourselves in a cartoon written by people we don't even know! Anyway, life is funny. Things happen, circumstances change and suddenly you aren't living the life you thought you would.

This is the reason for my store, Everest Dreams Trading Post. I am going to do everything I have to in order to reach my destination. Much to my husband's dismay, once I put my mind to something, I don't rest until it is done. I am a 100% kind of gal. This dedication is something I will bring to my business.

We all have Everest sized dreams. They are different for everyone. Of course, I have a bunch of Mt. Whitney sized dreams as well!
