I am a collector of early baseball images, memorabilia and photography from the dawn of invention.

I started out collecting baseball cards in California USA in 1980 when I was 10. Within 3 years had already developed a liking for, and a collection of, 19th century tobacco cards.

In 1990 I set off for the UK and have lived here since. Obviously, the great geographic distance meant the end of my active involvement in the hobby but with the advent of the net & E-bay I was able to rekindle my love for all things early baseball.

As my collecting tastes progressed, I began to focus earlier and earlier and now am a at a stage where not much interests me after 1875. I therefore specialise in early baseball daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, calotypes/salt prints, tintypes, CDV, large albumens, and early cabinets. I also have a more minor interest in early baseball memorabilia from chap books to early newspaper box scores to bat & ball equipment (just about anything baseball pre 1875)

Unfortunately, the last couple of years has seen the supply of these early one of a kind baseball images dry up almost completely so I have had to start up a new, more available, hobby to keep me occupied. I have simply made the transition into early general photography, with a keen interest in the very earliest photographs Daguerreotypes from 1839- 1844.

I occasionally change my collecting direction slightly and sell off a few items to fund my forays into a new hobby area - so please check back from time to time.
