Welcome to my about me page
What started out as a hobby and then part time business has now become a full time enterprise. A big thank you to the many repeat and regular customers and all of the many new ones coming in every day.

A little history about me.
I was quite young when silver coinage was discontinued in 1964. Even back then I thought that was a wrong thing to do just because silver was so nice and the new clad coins did not have that nice ring sound when coins clinked together. My dad and I used to go to the bank and get rolls of quarters and go home to sort out the silver ones to see if any of them fit into the coin album. That was great fun. Now you will never see a silver coin in circulation unless someone just spent someone’s collection. Even then they circulate for about…oops gone already.

Much of my life I spent doing home construction and remodeling. I had a sawmill and sawed up logs to make pallets for a few years as well. Lots of hard work for me. A few years ago I got interested in silver coins and coin collecting. I started out getting bags of silver coins and sorting out better ones to sell here on eBay. It was interesting that many people wanted them so from there I have started and built up the largest coin store here on eBay with thousands of listings and over 60,000 feedback now.

What I have in mind with Daves Collectable Coins is keeping a very large assortment of collectable coins available at all times. The majority of these are just like the type of coins my dad and I would find at the bank, you know, low cost coins for the guy that does not have a small fortune to spend, that can fill a coin album. I of course now have clad coins and state quarters and all the rest as silver coins are only part of the collectable coins available today. So here we are, I do hope you find something of interest among my listing.
