Response to negative feedback left to me
I sell hundreds of items every month of a very wide variety. I am not and I don't claim to be an expert about every item that I sell. I do my best to describe the item. If I find out later that I made an error in my description I ALWAYS offer to take the item back and refund the money. Most ebay sellers have some negative feedback. If it is in very small proportion it doesn't say anything about me but more about the way the other side chose to handle a situation that in some cases existed (Again, I'm not claiming not to make any mistakes) or was just in the mind of the buyer. If there is any justification at all to a complaint that you might have I will take the item back. I did so not once and not twice even after a positive feedback has been left to me. If buyer realizes later that there is a problem I still offer the same response that I would before the feedback. I sell to many collectors and dealers and it is very likely that someone who buys an item from me knows more about that item than I do so if I was wrong or haven't noticed something, I'll take it back without a problem.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Prices of shipping with the postal service went up tremendously lately especially for larger packages. If the package is above 1 cubic foot, which is not that big, I am charged a balloon rate which means tnat I pay as if the package is much heavier than it actually is. If the item is large and heavy I double box because the weight of these items causes strong impact if it falls and it can cause them to break. Double boxing, while it does not guarantee 100% that is will not break makes shipping much safer. Double boxing also costs much more especially if the outside box is above the 1 cubic foot. There are all levels of packing on ebay. I buy too and received some very badly packed items but also some very good packing. Good packing is expeinsive. You need more materials and better materials and it takes time too. I spend a lot of money on shipping materials. prices of bubble wrap and shipping peanuts have increased along with the increase of fuel prices and I buy a lot of these. When I decide on the shipping charge I don't have exact data. I give you a number that I think is reasonable and this is what you pay. If I make a mistake and I actually pay more when I ship you will never know it but if I happened to spend less I expect you not to complain.
Shipping multiple items:
I will gladly combine shipment if the items can be shipped together safely. The formula is: One item pays full Shipping and handling (The most expensive one of course) and the others pay only half.
INSURANCE
All my shipments are insured by an insurance company. Every package must be insured, there are no exceptions. For international shipping, the post office insures up to a certain amount and everything above it is picked up by my insurance company. The same thing applies for shipping with Fedex. Fedex covers damage up to $100 and anything above it is covered by the insurance company.
FEEDBACK
I give feedback promptly to everyone who leaves feedback to me. It is done automatically within a few hours after you leave a positive feedback. Please be fair with feedback. You need to know that negative, neutral or even not giving me 5 stars on the detailed feedback hurts my business. I always try to do well in every step of the way. If there is a problem here and there, it is not intentional and I will do my best to make it up to you. Anything less than perfect feedback is meant to warn future buyers against an unreliable seller. Please think twice if this is the message that you want to give. I have many people who buy from me repeatedly. The last time I checked, 13% of my business is repeat business and this number is going up.
