Our Shipping Fees Policy
We are in the process of revising our shipping process and fees. We have hired a company to handle our shipping for us so we can spend more time finding great trims for you at great prices.
We want to at all times only charge you what we are actually spending on shipping. That would be the actual cost plus the handling fee we pay to our shipping company. The shipping fees are currently $2.50 per domestic order and $5.50 per international order.
Despite the fact we've been on ebay for two years we still have challenges getting the shipping calculator to work all the time. So please if you have any problems with your shipping fees contact us and we will be happy to review them and correct any overcharges.
Our History
It started in June 2006 with a plan to clean out the extra stuff around the house by selling it on ebay. There was a pretty good stash of trim and it moved very quickly so we decided to find more and keep selling. Thus, Celtic Trims was born.
We are members of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) a medieval and renaissance historical society. The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more.
In our adventure in the SCA we became interested in beautiful and historical trim. Our goal is to share our great discoveries for you. Initially we planned to focus on medieval and renaissance period trim with re-enactors specifically in mind. As our product line has grown we've made friends with more and more great customers who have many uses for our trims. Costumers, decorators, scrapbookers, dog-collar manufacturers, doll makers and creative crafters of all kinds have found what they were looking for at Celtic Trims.
