Mission Statement: The Canvasback Gallery’s mission is 1) to Preserve Waterfowling History through collecting and acting as a temporary keeper of the wooden decoy and other artifacts, 2) to Promote Collecting Education through sharing and advancing decoy knowledge, and 3) to Provide Authentic and Accurately Described decoy ducks for the purpose of encouraging and furthering interest in this vital piece of American history.

Hello, my name is Jeff and I am the former Creator (and still..unfortunately...a co-owner) of another large decoy retail space here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  I am a serious collector and historian of decoys from the Upper Chesapeake Bay/Susquehanna Flats.  I am always on the hunt for waterfowling artifacts such as large bore shotguns by Baltimore or Philadelphia gun makers (example: McComas, Clark & Sneider, Poultney & Trimble and Krider), powder tins, shotshell boxes, original paintings...and pretty much anything related to the waterfowling days of past!  Please read my Mission Statement...it speaks for itself! 

eBay offers a great opportunity for the collector...however, a word of advice...be very careful....some have no knowledge at all about the vintage decoys they are selling...even though they play it up like they do....and it will be apparent in their listings...ask questions!
