Advanced Aquarium
Design, build and maintain marine and freshwater aquaria for over 20 years.

It is our belief that the aquarium hobby is probably the most broadly misunderstood hobby in the united states. Since 1984 Advanced Aquarium has been designing and building custom saltwater and freshwater aquarium systems. Our customers quickly realized that there was something different about our design, they were easy to service, maintained high water quality, and had a history of keeping fish healthy for long periods of time. As the company evolved it became apparent that commercially made products were readily available the usual retail locations, but could not compare to custom built products engineered specifically to match each and every individual aquarium system. Our philosphy has always been to be a quarter better & a nickel cheaper than the next vendor. With over 20 years of engineering and practical applications you can rest assured that your aquarium has been engineered to perform beyond your expecations. End result is an eco-system that your friends and neighboors envy and wonder "how you did it" when so many others have failed.
 
The Twin Cities Premier Aquarium Service Company

In 1995 Miramax Pictures contacted us requesting that we provide aquaria for the movie "Beautiful Girls", adding the title "fish wrangler" to our portfolio. Our Hollywood credits are listed in the Minnesota Film Boards website located at http://www.mnfilm.org/ By 1994, we had been designing and building custom aquarium systems for over a decade. In the spring of 1996 Marshall Fields (formerly known as Daytons)allowed us the opportunity to impress the Twin Cities with a 1600 gallon window display at the corner of 8th & Nicollet in downtown Minneapolis, it was such a success they asked us back again in 1997. In the year 2000 Advanced Aquarium provided Anderson Windows with an aquarium shot for their nationwide magazine advertisement. In 2002 we received a call from Done & Dusted a promotion agency from Europe representing Dido the popular female musician. We created a special water effect shot for a video she was shooting live in Minneapolis. For almost a decade we have provided a service to Rainbow Foods & Coastal sea foods maintaining their live lobster aquariums. lobster tanks are unique and have special requirements unlike regular marine aquaria. We recently (2002) completely redesigned the lobster systems for Coastal Sea Foods. Costal Sea Foods has consistently been voted the #1 local supplier of the freshest (flown in daily) seafood available in the metro area, 3 metro locations. We have become the Twin Cities Premier Aquarium Service Company providing our services to both residential and commercial customers. For over two decades we have been the twin cities premier aquarium service company. Advanced Aquarium, is committed to, and will continue to bring its customers superior aquarium products, and services.
